Spitzerfs sex scandal alleges involvement with a prostitution ring and was first reported by the New York Times. It was reported that Spitzer was identified as gClient No. 9 in a federal investigation into the Emperorfs Club VIP. This prostitution ring led to the federal indictment of four people last week.
Spitzer had been caught on a federal wiretap when he was about to have an encouter with a prostitute in a Washington hotel. The government said that the prostitution ring received over 5,000 phone calls and 6,000 emails after getting a warrant to wiretap the ring.
