From her early days as one third of Atomic Kitten to her latest admission to smoking whilst pregnant, Kerry Katona is rarely far from the headlines.


The singer-turned- TV-personality - who is expecting her fourth child - has packed more into her 27 years than most people do in a lifetime.

And while Kerry has experienced many highs, her low points have also been well publicised.

Kerry's early years were spent in and out of foster care and she has criticised her mum Sue for her troubled upbringing.

After a stint as a topless dancer, the Warrington girl's dreams finally came true when she joined girl-group Atomic Kitten.

It was during this period that she started dating former Westlife singer Brian McFadden.

After becoming pregnant with their first child, Kerry left the band. Kerry and Brian married in a lavish ceremony in Co Meath and for a while were Ireland's most popular celebrity couple, having another child together. However, Brian is reported to have broken his wife's heart when details of a fling with a lap-dancer on his stag night came to light.

In February 2004 Kerry entered the limelight again when she was crowned winner of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

On the back of her success in the Australian jungle, Kerry became the voice and face of supermarket chain Iceland with her catchphrase "that's why mums go to Iceland".

She was also voted Celebrity Mum of the Year in 2002 and again in 2005.

Kerry and Brian split up in September 2004 and what followed was a much-publicised custody battle for their two daughters which is on-going.

Kerry moved to Warrington and fell in love with taxi driver Mark Croft, who is 10 years her senior.

Now married and pregnant with Mark's second child, Kerry has been attracting headlines recently for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier this year, the couple were targeted by a three-man gang who held Kerry at knifepoint while ordering Mark to hand over valuables. The thugs fled with a BMW and other valuables.


Around three months ago, Kerry announced to the world she was expecting her fourth child.

Kerry hit the headlines last Sunday after being snapped smoking.

She said: "My doctor said if you're more stressed about not having a cigarette, you're better off having one - the stress harms the baby more."
