That boy is played by Bobby Coleman and Cusack spoke about working with the young actor. "Bobby's an amazing kid. He's really amazing. Never was in a bad mood, never got tired, we thought he was amazing." Amanda Peet also stars in the film. She previously worked alongside Cusack in the 2003 thriller Identity and explained why it was easier to work with someone she knows. Britney Spears is being sued for 15-thousand dollars by a former manager who says she didn't keep up on her payments to him of commissions on her royalties for her first four albums. This includes her seven-million dollar advance in 2002 - movies, tours, books and more. According to MTV News, Johnny Wright, who was her manager through February 2003, filed a breach-of-contract suit in Orange County, Florida, claiming Spears didn't provide proper accounting of all her gross receipts. He is seeking compensatory damages, consequential damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and attorney's fees.
Court papers were released Thursday in Britney Spears' custody dispute with Kevin Federline and they show that she spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment, and doesn't save or invest any of her roughly 737-thousand dollar monthly income. The Associated Press reports that the financial declaration shows that Spears' monthly expenses include over 49-thousand dollars in mortgages for two houses, 16-thousand dollars for clothes and 102-thousand dollars on entertainment, gifts and vacation. Although she's often photographed eating fast food, Spears declares she spends over four-thousand dollars per month dining out. Meanwhile, she doesn't spend anything on education, savings or investments and gives 500 dollars a month in charitable contributions. She has to pay her ex-husband 15-thousand dollars per month in child support and 20-thousand dollars in spousal support, which will end November 15th. As for Federline, his biggest monthly expenses include 75-hundred dollars in rent and six-thousand dollars in security. The dancer-turned-rapper has a comparably modest monthly budget for clothes - just-two thousand dollars. He also spends about five-thousand dollars on entertainment, gifts and vacation, and 15-hundred dollars eating out. Federline earned more than a half-million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals, but after business expenses only grossed over seven-thousand dollars that year. At press time, calls to attorneys representing Spears and Federline were not immediately returned.
Justin Timberlake was the most nominated artist at last week's MTV Europe Music Awards, but JT walked home empty-handed. He was outdone by Avril Lavigne, who took home two. Linkin Park snagged Band of 2007, Nelly Furtado got Album of the Year, and 30 Seconds to Mars took home the Rock Out award. French dance act Justice beat out Kanye West for the second year in a row for their catchy single "D.A.N.C.E."
Amy Winehouse stumbled through her performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday shortly after giving a very brief acceptance speech when she won the Artists' Choice honor. According to MTV News, the singer - who was announced as a last-minute addition to the show when she canceled her planned performance at the mtvU Woodie Awards last week, gave a brief "thanks" when she accepted the award. She later appeared to have difficulty remembering the words to her own song and danced unsteadily as she performed, "Back to Black." And while this year's MTV Video Music Awards belonged to Justin Timberlake and Rihanna, JT wasn't able to replicate his success abroad at the EMAs. While he was the most nominated artist, he left with no awards and maybe even more stunningly, he was outdone by Avril Lavigne, who nabbed Most Addictive Track for "Girlfriend" and Solo Artist of 2007. Other winners included Nelly Furtado for Album of the Year, Linkin Park for Band of 2007 and 30 Seconds to Mars took home the Rock Out award.

The awards are based on the artists' box-office performance from January 1st through September 30th, as reported by Billboard's Boxscore chart. Lance Bass' publicist is denying that the *NSYNC star was ever married, despite what E! Online reports Bass said in a recent interview. According to the Associated Press,he had said, "People do stupid things in the heat of the moment," referring to a trip to Vegas he supposedly made with an ex-girlfriend. He said, "I've been in Vegas where I've gotten married for, like, five minutes... it was one of those crazy moments where you're with a friend and you're like, 'Hey, wouldn't it be fun if we did this?' And that's all that happened. It's the Vegas thing to do... the only reason we did it is because we wanted to get free drinks all night. And we didn't get one. We're like, 'We just got married!' They're like, 'Ah. Whatever.'" But Bass' publicist Ken Sunshine subsequently told the AP that, "He never really got married. That's why there's no record of it. By saying he was married in Vegas, it was a way to get free drinks." A clerk at the Clark County marriage license bureau said no license under Bass' name could be found in a search of records dating back more than 30 years. Bass has been making the rounds to promote his new memoir, Out of Sync - which reveals why he kept his homosexuality hidden for as long as he did.

The Canadian native said, "Writing about my own personal relationships is my favorite thing to do 'cause it's the only thing I can really comment on with any kind of conviction or authority... I guess I could have fictionalized this whole record, but that wouldn't have been fun for me." Tracks that will make the album include "Underneath" and "Not As We," but don't expect Alanis' cover of "My Humps" to make the disc. That doesn't mean, though, that Morissette is done singing others' tunes, "There's a few songs that have been cracking me up lately that I might have to dabble in." Music can come in many forms: acoustic, rap, classical, synthesized and, of course, hand fart. In fact one man, Gerry Phillips, has revolutionized the genre and his rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" is a hit on YouTube. On the site, Phillips described his talent saying, "People ask me why I play music on my hands. The answer is, because I can! When I was nine-years-old, I went to a party. The photographer (to keep us quiet) farted with his hands. I could do it right away." Phillips added, "I don't expect everyone to like what I do, but if you think about it, there is no new music. Everything has been done in one way or another. But I am new and different. Singing, humming, whistling and playing an instrument are not the only ways of making music." And as for the reaction to his unique sounds, Gerry revealed, "The only people who have ever truly appreciated what I do are musicians. They tell me in terms I don't understand what I have just done. I just play the song! I think what they think is cool is that I don't have to pack up and drag equipment!"
